Modifications and Enhancements to ALTA 7

The modifications/enhancements for each service release are described next. This information is also available in the ReadMe file that is installed with the software. The most recent service release (build) contains all previous modifications. To determine the Compile Release Version (CRV) of the application on your computer, choose About from the Help menu. Build 7.5.9

  • Resolved an issue with importing files from ALTA 1.
  • Added the option to copy data from a SimuMatic folio.

Build 7.5.8

  • Auto-scaling in the Use Level plot now accounts for suspension and left-censored data.
  • Resolved an issue when X-coordinate on the popup label for Life vs Stress plot was not calculated correctly.
  • Resolved a conversion issue when an error was caused by certain defined name contained in ALTA 6 file.

Build 7.5.7

  • Resolved an issue when Tests of Comparison may not yield correct results for certain data sets.
  • Added DATARANK function.

Build 7.5.6

  • Resolved an issue with saving projects when certain Windows printer drivers are present on a user's system.
  • Resolved an issue with an incorrect likelihood value when using Alter Parameters with the cumulative damage model.
  • Resolved an issue with cumulative damage model when calculating without data.
  • Resolved an issue where the auto-calculated plot scale was too wide for certain data.

Build 7.5.5

  • Added language support for Japanese.
  • Resolved an issue with evaluating stress profiles with segment "sqrt(t-X)."

Build 7.5.4

  • Resolved an issue when comparing two data sets, which could bring incorrect results if the MTBFs of the data sets were very far from each other.
  • Resolved an issue where pasting took a very long time if all cells were selected before pasting.
  • Resolved an issue with the Distribution Wizard when used with the Cumulative Damage model, where the parameters displayed on the Analysis Details report in the Wizard did not match correct results shown in the calculated folio.

  • Resolved an issue with transferring data to Weibull++.
  • Resolved an issue with the Standardized Residuals plot line.
  • Resolved an issue with the Life vs Stress plot when a file was converted from ALTA 6 to ALTA 7.
  • Resolved an issue where some spreadsheets did not use the font that was selected in the User Setup.
  • Updated the online help file.

Build 7.5.2

  • Resolved an issue with the line thickness and style of a line in a plot.
  • Resolved an issue with the number of recent projects displayed in the file menu.
  • Resolved an intermittent issue where the status bar showed above the Warnings window.
  • Resolved an issue where the "Reliability" and "With Confidence" input values for SimuMatic were enabled even when the "Calculate Target Time for" option was not selected.
  • Resolved an issue when multiple folios were closed in quick succession.
  • Resolved an intermittent issue with the QCP where the "Profile" selection was hidden when the "Acceleration Factor" option was selected.
  • Resolved an issue when calculating the "Training Examples PRO" example - the first time, the user would receive an error message while the second time around there was no message and the calculation finished.
  • When adding a new Side-By-Side plot the user will now be asked to select which folio to use to create it.
  • Resolved an issue with the tab key order in the 3D plot.
  • Resolved an issue where the "Life vs Stress Plot" was showing the correct selected confidence bounds but when returning to the window to change the selection the "Scale Parameter" option was showing as not selected.
  • Resolved an issue where an ALTA 6 stress profile library could not be imported through the "Add From File" command in the Project menu.
  • Resolved an issue where the columns in the "Summary" window of SimuMatic were not wide enough to display all the information.
  • Updated the online help file.
